MALLINCKRODT PHARMACEUTICALS ANNOUNCES IMPORTANT NDC NUMBER CHANGES

NDC Number Changes

The NDC numbers on several Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals CNS products will change over the next 12 months.  These products include Anafranil® clomipramine HCl capsules; Pamelor® nortriptyline HCl capsules and solution, USP; Tofranil®-PM imipramine pamoate capsules- and Restoril® temazepam capsules, USP (see the reverse side for specific information).  Only the NDC numbers and labels will change for these products.  The products and their manufacturing process remain the same.  We are working closely with our wholesale partners to make this a smooth transition.

Phased Approach

NDC numbers for these products will change over time as new product inventory is delivered to wholesalers.  Please refer to the chart on the reverse side which lists estimated delivery dates to wholesalers.  Be advised that it may take some time for you to receive the newly coded products due to wholesaler inventory levels.

Marketing Support

Mallinckrodt Pharmaceuticals is aggressively promoting Restoril® 7.5 mg capsules (temazepam) and Tofranil® -PM capsules (imiprmine pamoate).  Marketing support includes professional detailing and sampling to psychiatrists and primary care physicians, direct mail, and convention support.
